Health Level Seven (HL7) is a family of international standards that define how healthcare systems structure and exchange clinical and administrative data. HL7 Version 2 is widely used for messaging such as admissions, discharges, transfers (ADT), orders, and results, while Version 3 and CDA offer more model-driven, consistent specifications.
Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is the modern HL7 standard that uses web technologies (REST APIs, JSON, XML) to make health data exchange simpler, secure, and developerfriendly. FHIR organizes information into reusable “resources” such as Patient, Encounter, Observation, Medication, and Bundle that any compliant system can understand.
Acts as an interoperability hub, connecting internal modules and external systems through HL7 interfaces and FHIR APIs. This enables unified patient records while still allowing hospitals to work with existing LIS, EMR, and other thirdparty solutions.
HL7 v2 interfaces for ADT, orders, results, billing and scheduling with labs, radiology, and partner hospitals.
FHIRbased APIs to expose Patient, Encounter, Observation, and other resources to approved external applications.
Support for sending and receiving FHIR Bundles for national health programs and payer integrations where required.
